fast walks Instead of anti depressants
About 10% of the population is today eating anti depressants. Stress, overweight and loneliness makes us depressed. These are not natural states for mankind. For 99,9% of humanity we have had lack of calories, worked (gathered food) about 4-5 hours per day and lived in small and close groups. there was scarcity of food, humans where slim and moving about 15000-18000 steps per day. it was also important to be part of a group in order to survive. All this is still in our genes. We have lived so long like this the the brain in order to keep us alive is still greed for this kind of life. When we see calories we get cravings, is the brain saying, “get all the calories so you will not starve” and when we are lonely the brain sends signals of danger, in order to keep us alive. And the same goes for moving. We are used to move to stay alive. Today science shows more and more that exercise prevents and helps depression in many cases. Up to 30 5 of depressed patients gets well from depression just by moving. that is the same results as for anti depressants!
The best movement is something that gives you 70% of max puls, like a fast walk. You don’t have to run to get results. A walk 30-40 minutes is enough. Actually 1 hour per week helps if you are not used to moving, but I ask my klients for a walk per day.
If you want even better effect do the movement in group or with a friend.
